Abstract
In the city of Zanjan, the aging of the population and attention to the issues of the elderly are very important. Especially in the worn-out texture of the central part, which was the initial core of the city's formation, and mostly elderly people live in this part. Therefore, the aim of the research is to answer the main hypothesis, that is, to explain the effective factors on the planning of the elderly-friendly city in the public spaces of the worn-out fabric of the central part of Zanjan city. The current research is descriptive-analytical in which library methods and field observations were used. The statistical population of this research is experts specializing in urban affairs and the sample size is 20 people. The data was analyzed using structural analysis technique and in the form of Micmac software. The results show that among the design and planning factors, the variables of public buildings with elevators, escalators, or stairs with a low slope and height and with railings and non-slip surfaces, etc., have a high influence rating. Therefore, it is necessary to pay serious attention to these indicators in system control. Also, all 4 components for planning an elderly-friendly city in the worn-out context of the central part of Zanjan city are among the indicators of the production of buildings in public places with an approach to the needs of the elderly, which indicates the importance of these indicators as the output of the system, and considering that the elderly have disabilities, Vulnerability, demands and concerns are there and the city space is not prepared for the presence of this group, including things like ramps and stairs at the entrance of buildings, flooring of sidewalks and access to trash cans, and shelters.
