An analysis of the territory of the smart city and the assessment of the realization of the dimensions of smartness in Ardabil city

Abstract

the origin of human civilization, cities have faced complex challenges and problems that can only be solved through a principled and systematic approach. The smart city, which is built on the basis of information and communication technology, is one of the new concepts to deal with the current challenges of cities in the field of urban planning, and it has revealed a new form of life development in the world today. Building a smart city is a vital strategy to reduce the problems produced by urban population growth and rapid urbanization and to overcome environmental transformations and emerging climate changes.The purpose of the current research, which was carried out with a descriptive-analytical method, is to evaluate the 74 indicators of a smart city in Ardabil. In this regard, using the literature on the subject, 74 indicators in six dimensions of the smart city including smart people, smart economy, smart environment, smart life, smart government, and smart mobility were compiled and using questionnaire tools and information and statistics available in the yearbooks. It has been analyzed statistically and in the Python programming environment.

The results show the level of intelligence of this city on a large scale with a score of 0.32 out of one unit. Also, the examination of the situation of the six dimensions shows that the dimension of smart environment with a score of 0.48 of the unit has the highest score among other dimensions, while the smart economy has the lowest score with 0.17.
