Abstract

Landslides are one of the natural hazards in the world . Landslides are the displacement of rocks, debris, or soil due to the Earth's gravity .

The current research is is of an applied type and its research method is an analysis based on the integration of data analysis, geographic information system (GIS) and the use of MARCOS multi-criteria analysis techniques.

According to the weights of each criterion obtained from the critical method and also the scores obtained from the output of the Marcus method, among the various factors affecting the landslide of the Onarchay-Meshkinshahr watershed, the slope, land use, lithology and geology factors were ranked first to fourth with higher scores. In addition, the altitude classes, precipitation, vegetation cover, distance from the river, soil type, distance from roads, slope direction and distance from fault were assigned scores between 5 and 12, respectively. Therefore, the final map was arranged in 5 classes: very low, low, medium, high and very high. The central, western and eastern parts of the region have a high potential for landslide occurrence. The northern side of the map had the least landslides due to the plain and low and flat lands.
