Abstract
Objective: Good urban governance, as a key concept in urban management, plays an important role in sustainable development and improving the quality of life of citizens. This concept is based on the principles of transparency, accountability, participation, rule of law, efficiency, and justice. In fact, achieving good urban governance requires identifying and strengthening the key drivers affecting it. In this regard, the aim of the present study is to explain the key drivers affecting good urban governance in Kermanshah city. This study attempts to identify the factors affecting good urban governance using scientific methods and considering the specific conditions of Kermanshah city and provide strategies for strengthening them. This research also seeks to identify strategic and key variables by managing them, which can prevent critical scenarios and draw an operational roadmap for future-oriented management in Kermanshah metropolis.
Research Method: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. Data collection tools are library sources and documents and surveys (questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha reliability higher than 0.7). The research area is Kermanshah city and the statistical sample of this study is 50 experts and specialists in the field of urban and urban management.
Results: Data analysis using Delphi and Mi'kmaq methods showed that among the 46 parameters affecting good urban governance in Kermanshah, 17 factors were identified as key drivers that have the greatest impact on the future.
Conclusion: The main findings emphasize that the sub-indicators of reducing costs and improving the quality of services, transparency of municipal performance, and attracting participation through accountability of managers have the highest direct impact on the realization of good urban governance in Kermanshah. Therefore, strengthening these key drivers, especially through active citizen participation, transparency, and increased efficiency, is essential to improve urban management in this metropolis
