The aim of the present study is to investigate the effects of empowering rural women on the livability of rural households.This study is an applied study in terms of its purpose and has been conducted in a descriptive-analytical manner in terms of its implementation method.The statistical population of the study consists of the villages of Kohrang County, which, based on the general population and housing census in 2016, was equal to 41,535 people, of which 381 people were selected as a sample using the Cochran formula. In order to analyze the research findings, one-sample t-test, multivariate regression analysis, and path analysis were used.The results of the one-sample t-test showed that the status of women's empowerment was assessed desirable with an average of 3.082 and the status of rural households'livability was assessed as desirable with an average of 3.074.The results of multivariate regression analysis showed that the social index with a beta coefficient of 0.364, the economic index with a beta coefficient of 0.309, the skill and human resource development index with a beta coefficient of 0.247, the institutionalization and organization index with a beta coefficient of 0.207,and the education and awareness index with a beta coefficient of 0.147, respectively, have an impact on the viability of rural households. Also, the results of path analysis showed that the social variable with a total effect of 0.581 had the greatest impact on the viability of rural households,and the education and awareness variable with a total effect of 0.147 had the least impact. Also, the economic variable with a total effect of 0.498, the skill and human resource development variable with a total effect of 0.412, and the institutionalization and organization variable with a total effect of 0.318 were the second to fourth most influential variables on the viability of rural households, respectively
