Sustainability is a process that will eventually lead to economic vitality and sustainability, social health, and environmental quality. In the sustainability process, however, the integrity of various components and dimensions is characterized by social values and priorities. This will gain more significance when combined with the place at which residents feel comfortable, i.e., housing, as they spend most of their time living and taking rest at this place. That said, it is quite crucial to pay attention to housing technical and modification affairs which would promote sustainability. The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between realities and perceptions about housing sustainability in the Urmia City’s neighborhoods. To this end, the research synthesis method was used to identify sustainable housing indicators in four social, economic, bio-environmental, and physical dimensions. Then, subjective and objective data were obtained from related methods. In the end, the Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to measure the relationships. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient results showed a positively significant relationship between the subjective and objective indicators of housing sustainability in Urmia neighborhoods, though the relationship varies in various components. While the effect of some housing sustainability components is highly insignificant, there is a direct relationship between objective (reality on the ground) and subjective (residents’ satisfaction) in all Urmia neighborhoods.
